Leading Organizations and Governments Through Change, Trust, and Delivery

Leaders in government, nonprofits, and the private sector are asked to earn trust, guide people through change, and deliver on strategic priorities, often all at once. Platinum Project Collective LLC offers eleven presentations that treat strategic communications, change management, and executive coaching as one integrated system rather than separate efforts.

Every session draws on real public sector work and translates it for leaders in government agencies, nonprofits, associations, and mission-driven or private sector organizations. Each description ends with an integration note naming the role each discipline plays.

Presentations

01. Trust Is the Infrastructure: Earning Stakeholder Confidence from the Inside Out
Whether your stakeholders are residents, members, donors, or customers, they judge you by what you do and how you talk about it, and the two have to match. You’ll learn how to align leadership behavior, employee adoption, and external messaging so trust becomes something you build deliberately.

Integration: Communications shapes the message, change management ensures your organization can deliver on it, and coaching equips leaders to model it.

02. Winning Public Support: Communicating a Major Bond Referendum or Funding Initiative
Lessons from a $567 million flood protection bond campaign. You’ll see how to explain complex, high-cost initiatives in terms your audience cares about, whether you’re seeking voter approval, board backing, or community investment, while staying within the rules that govern public funds and advocacy.

Integration: Communications drives understanding, change management builds stakeholder readiness and support, and coaching prepares spokespeople and executives for tough questions.

03. When Crisis Hits: Leading Through Disaster Response and Recovery
A practical playbook drawn from EF-3 tornado response and recovery. Learn what your communications and leadership teams need in place before the first hours, how to keep the public and your people informed, and how to carry your organization from response into long-term recovery.

Integration: Communications keeps stakeholders informed, change management guides your workforce through disruption, and coaching supports leaders making decisions under pressure.

04. Change That Sticks: Leading Transformation Across Your Workforce
New systems, structures, and priorities often stall at the department or team level. This session offers a proven approach to building awareness, buy-in, and adoption among employees, supervisors, and executive or board leadership.

Integration: Change management provides the structure, communications creates the narrative that keeps people engaged, and coaching helps leaders become effective change sponsors.

05. The Integrated Advantage: Why Organizations Need Communications, Change, and Coaching Working Together (Signature Session)
Our signature session. Many organizations run these disciplines in separate silos, and initiatives suffer for it. See how aligned leaders, clear messaging, and structured change planning reinforce each other, with scenarios drawn from public sector work that apply across sectors.

Integration: This is the core model, with all three disciplines presented side by side.

06. Brand as Belonging: Refreshing Your Brand Without Losing Your Identity
Drawing on a municipal brand refresh tied to a city’s 60th anniversary, this session shows how to gather stakeholder input, win over employees, and roll out a new look and voice across every department or business unit.

Integration: Communications defines the brand story, change management drives employee adoption, and coaching helps leaders become credible brand ambassadors.

07. Recruiting for Mission: Attracting and Keeping Talent in Public Service and Mission-Driven Work
Many organizations struggle to fill critical positions. Using lessons from public safety recruitment campaigns, learn how to understand your target candidates, build an employer brand, choose effective channels, and measure what works.

Integration: Communications attracts candidates, change management addresses the cultural and process barriers that affect retention, and coaching develops supervisors who keep new hires engaged.

08. Marketing Through Uncertainty: Lessons from Destination Tourism in a Pandemic
For leaders in tourism, hospitality, economic development, and any organization that depends on customer or visitor confidence. See how a coastal city built consumer confidence and led the nation in hotel occupancy for 18+ consecutive weeks during COVID-19, and what that means for protecting revenue in any disruption.

Integration: Communications rebuilt traveler confidence, change management coordinated industry partners around evolving conditions, and coaching supported leaders making fast, high-stakes calls.

09. Explaining the Complicated: Communicating Contentious and High-Stakes Decisions
Drawing on election system redistricting, this session shows how to communicate politically sensitive or controversial decisions with clarity and neutrality. You’ll learn to explain complex processes in plain language, anticipate stakeholder concerns, and counter misinformation without escalating it.

Integration: Communications delivers plain-language clarity, change management maps stakeholder impacts and resistance, and coaching prepares leaders for public scrutiny and difficult conversations.

10. The Leader’s Message: Executive Presence for Public and Organizational Leaders
Whether you’re briefing a board or elected body, facing the media, addressing employees, or speaking at a town hall or stakeholder event, your presence shapes how your message lands. This session builds clarity, credibility, and confidence for the moments that matter.

Integration: Coaching builds the leader’s presence, communications sharpens the message, and change management shows how that leadership drives organizational adoption.

11. From Plan to Delivery: Strategy Execution for Public and Organizational Leaders
Strategic plans and organizational priorities too often stop at adoption. Drawing on Harvard’s Strategy Execution for Public Leadership work, this session shows how to turn priorities into measurable projects with clear ownership and sustained accountability.

Integration: Project and change management drive execution, communications keeps stakeholders aligned, and coaching builds the leadership accountability that sustains progress.
